When you meet Ian Mellett, you will find out that he loves his sport. He’s played cricket at a provincial level, opened the batting for South African provincial cricket teams and more recently can be found at Auckland’s Parnell Cricket Club umpiring or coaching the junior teams.

For his ongoing commitment, past sponsorship and contribution to the local community and cricket club, Ian was appointed as an Honorary Vice President of Parnell Cricket Club in 2015.

He’s played rugby competitively.  But is a focused father, a regular Father Christmas at Christmas functions and has laid wreaths at the Cenotaph on behalf of the South African government during Remembrance Day Services.
